I am a sophomore in the undergraduate biomedical engineering program. I am currently interning in the Texas House of Representatives under Representative Angie Chen Button as a part of the Texas Legislative Internship Program (TLIP) sponsored through the Honors College. I previously conducted tissue engineering research under Dr. Majid Minary. Last summer, I did a research internship with the U.S. Navy in San Antonio, where I investigated the antibacterial efficacy of antibiotic-loaded cranial implants. I will be investigating the development and characterization of magnetic hydrogel materials for biomedical applications this summer at the Leibniz Institute of Surface Modification/University of Leipzig in Germany. After graduation, I plan to pursue a PhD in Biomedical Engineering with a focus in biomaterials or tissue engineering.
I really like dogs, cooking, and binge-watching shows on Netflix.

I am a second year bioengineering undergraduate student working in the Advanced Polymer Research Laboratory (APRL) under Dr. Walter Voit. Currently, I am working on new polymers as substrates for industrial and biomedical applications with a specific focus on high glass transition softening polymers and shape memory polymers.
